Making Memories
An outreach program for individuals with Alzheimer’s that also provides respite for their caregivers.
Who We Are
Making Memories provides a safe and welcoming meeting space for adults of any faith, race, or ethnicity with early to mid-stage Alzheimer's disease or related dementias. Gatherings take place at Westminster Presbyterian Church and combine socialization, exercise, music, and other memory-stimulating activities in a safe and comfortable environment.
While participants are able to engage in various stimulating activities, caregivers are able to relax, socialize, run errands, or do whatever activity is needed to allow them to return refreshed. Trained volunteers provide support and encouragement to participants with a minimum of one volunteer for every two program participants.
